Preparing for a job in general corporate

Post by Sincostan12345 » Sat Apr 24, 2021 5:16 am

Hi guys, I am a qualified lawyer who has worked in the tax department of a big 4 for the last 3 years focusing on cross border m&a deals. I am preparing for a job as a corporate / commercial lawyer in a law firm and wanted some advice on how to best prepare.

Should I simply just go back to all the deals Ive worked on and read through the deal documents and understand each sentence (e.g. due diligence reports, share purchase agreements, shareholder agreements , LP agreements , financing document?) outside of a general corporate / commercial? I know there are some books to recommend based on the threadse . Thanks!
