Lateral Background Check
V100 lateral offer letter states that "offer of employment is contingent upon verification of the accuracy of the information on my application, resume, and transcript." Does biglaw background check typically pull law school grades? Seems that this poses potential risks of compliance with FERPA for both Biglaw employer and law school.

I think the background check place can show your submitted transcript to the school to verify that it is accurate. So, unless you’re lying about your grades, I don’t know why this matters.

They probably will request an official transcript , that’s the easiest way for them to verify grades and comply with FERPA. Some background check places won’t even try to verify transcripts bc they don’t wanna risk violating ferpa
