Mayer Brown - Banking and Finance Practice

Post by Anonymous User » Thu Apr 01, 2021 12:15 pm

What's the word? I have an offer to start here as a first year. Seems like banking and finance is one of the premier groups of the firm. I'm interested in doing secured transactions, so was wondering if anyone could shine any light on what it's like to work in this group and how it's perceived in the industry. TIA!

MB's finance group has a very solid reputation reputation in the market - particularly the Chicago and Charlotte offices. Secured transactions is a pretty broad category - a ton of financing transactions are secured - but MB has a pretty premier securitization group (credit card, auto, mortgage) and some other top groups - fund finance, project finance and trade receivables finance come to mind.
