How does everyone else deal with imposter syndrome?
I've never doubted myself before, but, I'm about to find myself in a new situation and I'm beginning to doubt myself.
I will be moving to a new firm in a new town, where I'll be heading / starting up the department for my practice area. The firm likes me so much that they will be building a team around me right away.
For the first time, I'm worried I'm not good enough, and not only will I have no one else to turn to for advice, but I'll have others looking to me for answers.
Anyone else ever get scared they're in over their head?

Generally speaking, these firms don’t bet on the wrong donkey. If they’re building a team specifically for you, and you have the self-awareness to wonder whether you’re up to the task, you’re definitely capable of this role.

Re: Imposter Syndrome
I'm a corporate 9th year. There's always going to be substantive points/understanding to fine tune, novel issues, new types of demands, etc. etc. that come up every deal. This never goes away, for anyone, and once you accept that the syndrome starts to fades. You also get much better at "fake it till you make it" with experience and that in and of itself becomes a skill and part of the job.
tldr: You're fine and will be fine in the future, and in the same boat as pretty much everyone else.

Original Anon here. Not sure why the two people who replied did so anon, as there's nothing controversial in what y'all said, but it's exactly what I needed to hear!
Thanks.
