I am applying to regional firms after 2 years in biglaw and 1 yr clerking. I had few writing opportunities as a jr associate in biglaw, and came out of it without a writing sample. My current writing sample options are a memo from an internship I wrote 3L year, or excerpting from a law review article I wrote and published during my first year at my law firm. I'm aware neither of these are ideal. Advice?
Thanks!

Re: Jr Lateral Writing Sample
I cannot answer your question. I can share that some do have difficulty producing a writing sample on short notice as redacted versions of one's work product often lessen the quality of the writing. Others state that they do not have the right to share work product as it may betray client confidentiality & may be the property of the law firm and/or client.
