I have a friend that got a 1L SA position, but then got accepted into the Kirkland & Ellis 1L Diversity Scholar Program. Another one of our friends is in a similar position and was made a Choate Scholar.
Does anyone know:
1) How selective are these programs are?
2) Whether this bodes well for their futures? (Or is it relatively inconsequential?)
3) Any other relevant factoids? (Could not find a lot of info aside from the promotional blurbs online.)
