My post-grad plans just fell through. Am I screwed or do I still have a chance of finding something decent?
What are the chances that midsized to large firms are still hiring new associates? If they have already started callbacks and made some decisions, is it worth applying at this point?

Regardless of whether some firms have started callbacks and made some decisions, what do you have to lose by applying? Let them tell you they're done hiring, don't decide that for yourself (potentially) prematurely.
