JD/LLM Pay (B4)
B4 recruiting is ramping up for the Tax LLM programs. I know there have been some threads discussing comp. But it doesn't hurt to pull together more data so people have updated figures.
I am wondering if you all have data for B4 pay in major markets, as well as some of the smaller regional offices? Also, if you work at a B4 now, I am interested in career/salary progression/exit ops.
Thanks for the help!

5 years ago I got a ~$150k offer with ~$5k signing bonus from a WNT office, and an ~$85k offer with ~$5k signing bonus from an Atlanta office. Not the latest data possible, but it’s something!

Yeah, any relevant experience? This seems way higher than anything I have ever seen.CanadianWolf wrote: ↑Fri Feb 26, 2021 8:48 pmWould be helpful to know which tax practice area & which Big 4. In my experience, starting salary for an LLM at the WNT office is 150k with some signing bonus. 125k + signing bonus for major markets ( such as NYC) and 95k + signing bonus for more regional locations.

My figures are old as well, but PwC WNTS $140k + 10k (M&A); Deloitte SF ($90k).
WNTS pays more because you start off as a senior associate whereas NY is an associate.

No experience, was K-LLM. Had 3.95+ in the LLM though, and a T50 JD.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Fri Feb 26, 2021 9:03 pmYeah, any relevant experience? Have you started hearing back from any of the firms yet? My apps all still say pending review.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Fri Feb 26, 2021 6:00 pmB4 recruiting is ramping up for the Tax LLM programs.
