could be useful information for law students who are deciding what path to follow
personally i've found it to be surprisingly true

I don’t think that if you hate law school it’s guaranteed that you’ll like transactional, but I agree that you’re more likely to like transactional than litigation.

Ehh, I hated law school, but I enjoy being a litigator. I took a venture capital transactional class in law school thinking that I would like it, and I wanted to blow my brains out all semester.

Enjoy law school = litigation, hate law school = maybe transactional (you may hate the practice of law altogether).

I absolutely hated law school, but mostly due to what I consider an overly pretentious environment. I also don’t agree with the antiquated means of teaching the students. I did somewhat enjoy the material and cases, especially if I was particularly interested in the facts.
But Ilove really enjoy litigating in actual practice. I am also an older student (graduated at 30 years old), so I think I was pretty much over school by my late 20s.
