When to start applying for new 3L jobs if hoping to switch after 2L SA?

Post by Anonymous User » Sat Feb 20, 2021 12:31 am

Current 2L, just accepted my only 2L SA offer but would prefer to work in a different market after graduation.

1. Is it a bad look to not return to your 2L SA employer after graduation even if you don't renege on them?

2. Is it a faux pas to apply to other employers (to join after graduation) while doing a 2L SA with an employer?

3a. When should I start applying if I want to find a new post-graduate job? Should I start now, during my 2L SA, after 2L SA ends, or once the 3L year begins?

3b. Should I aim to secure a new offer before 3L fall begins, similar to securing 2L SA offers before/around the start of 2L fall in normal times? Or does 3L job search run on a different timeline?
