NYC summer program lengths?
My firm has been very noncommittal about the dates and length. Wondering if that's standard in the NYC market right now or if they are going to pull an S&C on us....

Re: NYC summer program lengths?
Summer program length details, drawing from a few offer letters...
CSM: N/A (but encouraging ppl "to spend as much of their summer with us as possible")
Cleary: "minimum commitment of seven weeks"
Deb: "we require a minimum eight-week stay in our summer program" (but "maximum length of stay" not set)
DPW: N/A
P,W: N/A
Skadden: N/A (but promising "best-in-class experience")
S&C: N/A
Weil: N/A
TLDR: no firm has made a definitive commitment AFAIK; but based on a few firms' "minimum" expectations, it sounds like most expect a full summer. When I chatted informally with lawyers about summer plans, most of them struck a contrite, we're-going-to-do-better-this-year tone. I doubt your firm has any nefarious plans.
