Rejected after screener but got a callback?

Post by Anonymous User » Mon Feb 08, 2021 5:37 pm

Hi everyone,

I was rejected from a firm after a screener around a week ago, but then today I got a callback invitation because apparently, their needs have shifted. What do you think this means and are my chances of getting an offer higher?

I had this happen with a DC firm. Don't read too much into it, but it probably means you were on the bubble in the CB selection process. I ended up getting ghosted post-CB, so take from that what you will.

For the first part, my guess is that you were ranked pretty high in the rejected list and the firm either had somebody renege or just got abnormally low acceptance rate on their offers.

Can't say much about your chances. Maybe it helps if they're really trying to fill the unexpected gaps.
