I have a tech trans 2L SA offer (that would allow me to do a bit of privacy, but mostly transactional privacy) and a privacy & cybersecurity 2L SA offer. In terms of the firm & location, I must prefer the tech trans offer.
I am very much interested in privacy & regulatory work. At the same time, one of my potential goals is going in-house, and I think tech trans is going to be useful, even if I were to try to become a privacy counsel later.
I also think it is easier to go from tech trans to privacy than the other way around, but I am really curious to hear your thoughts. To a potential privacy counsel, would tech trans experience come in handy? Or is it better to just start from privacy & cybersecurity group?
