For NY general commercial litigation, securities litigation, employment lit. Liked culture at both firms. Looking to maximize exit ops!

Neither firm focuses on litigation like, say, Gibson Dunn. I'd choose based on culture/fit.

Claiming that there are general "tiers" within the top law firms is silly. But for the sake of argument, the main factor (at least among NY corporate shops) would be how profitable the firms are on a per-lawyer and per-partner basis.
