For litigation, Weil>STB, Willkie. STB has a strong corporate practice.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Thu Jan 28, 2021 10:13 pmlooking for thoughts on the culture and outlook of these firms specifically in the litigation/white-collar practice groups. any opinions at all would be helpful. thank you!

I heard STB forced all its litig incoming associates into corporate because they didn't have enough work.
I would think Weil is the best option here.

I do not recall hearing any praises about STB or Willkie culture but I repeatedly hear good things about Weil, from people who go there as well as people who don't. I think that shows.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Fri Jan 29, 2021 5:52 pmThat's reassuring to know!!Anonymous User wrote: ↑Fri Jan 29, 2021 2:49 pmNot only did weil put every incoming associate in lit who wanted it, everyone got their preferred group.

in terms of practice group, I would not choose Simpson for litigation, you may find yourself not doing the work or getting the exposure at the level of quality and quantity you would like to get if your aspiration is a litigation lawyer
