Kirkland DC hiring timeline?
Posting this in a new thread rather than in my school’s OCI thread because I’m hoping for a broader sample size. I completed a Kirkland callback last week, and understand they had another big interview day today. Does anyone here have firsthand or reliable knowledge they can share about how Kirkland DC structures their batches of offers, which days the committee meets, etc? Trying to get a sense of how screwed I am if it’s been almost a week. They’re my #1 choice at this point, and I felt like the callback went well, but I haven’t heard from them and I’m getting concerned.

Re: Kirkland DC hiring timeline?
Not Kirkland specific knowledge so i'm sorry I cant be of more help, however, myself and others who have done CB for DC haven't heard anything either way for coming on a week from several firms. It is very unnerving as NYC for the same firm seems to be 24-48 hrs, but it seems like DC is just flat out slower (or so we hope, possible offers are going and were just in purgatory)Anonymous User wrote: ↑Tue Jan 26, 2021 11:41 pmPosting this in a new thread rather than in my school’s OCI thread because I’m hoping for a broader sample size. Does anyone know if K&E DC has any more big callback days scheduled? They had one yesterday.

Does anyone's career advising office release data on the ratio of callbacks to offers at this stage in the game for DC firms? Ours hasn't been helpful in that regard (H), but I'd really like to know (1) how different the number of callbacks was this year vs last year, and (2) if there's a huge delta between callbacks and offers at this point or if those of us in limbo are the outliers

NYU here - we don't get this info from our OCS (would love to have it though).Anonymous User wrote: ↑Thu Jan 28, 2021 1:49 pmDoes anyone's career advising office release data on the ratio of callbacks to offers at this stage in the game for DC firms? This isn't DC-specific, but firm-wide you can usually find last year's overall numbers in Chambers Associate. It says last year K&E invited 1,244 candidates for callbacks. Obviously a handful of those cancelled because they had offers elsewhere. But using that number, it says they made 583 offers, which means a 46.8% offer rate firm wide. Slightly higher than that when you take out however many didn't actually go to their callback. ETA: I think common sense would indicate that the DC office offer rate is probably lower than that, since it's a high demand market and DC is one of K&E's smaller summer classes.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Thu Jan 28, 2021 1:49 pmDoes anyone's career advising office release data on the ratio of callbacks to offers at this stage in the game for DC firms? Re: Kirkland DC hiring timeline?
HLS publishes previous years’ numbers for DC, and they track with this. Big question mark right now though whether the callback # this year was lower, and how many of them have received offers thus far. This cycle is just too weird to extrapolate reliably from previous yearsAnonymous User wrote: ↑Thu Jan 28, 2021 7:05 pmThis isn't DC-specific, but firm-wide you can usually find last year's overall numbers in Chambers Associate. Re: Kirkland DC hiring timeline?
I see that this is an older post so I imagine people heard back. How long did it take people to hear back? I interviewed a week ago and haven’t heard back. I though my CB went extremely well so I’m confused

I think I will literally die if I have to wait that long but thank you for the words of encouragement lol. It’s my top choice so I’m feeling the pressure

Re: Kirkland DC hiring timeline?
for what it's worth, I went through OCI with Kirkland DC a few weeks ago and did my callback toward the end of one week and got my offer early the following week (so about 2-3 business days, excluding the weekend).

Re: Kirkland DC hiring timeline?
That does help because everyone is saying it’s just because DC is slow right now. I suspect I’ve been waitlisted
