How to go about retroactively amending law school app

Post by Anonymous User » Mon Jan 25, 2021 12:02 pm

Noticed a few minor discrepancies in my LS app (a few missing positions [not terminated or anything like that], some positions I accidentally listed as being during the school year when the opposite was true [or vice versa]). Do I ask the office of career guidance, retain a C&F attorney now, or what?

I think your first stop should be your office of student affairs (or equivalent). If they don't want to let you amend, then it might be worth consulting a C&F attorney, depending on how many major discrepancies there are.

I don’t think this is super uncommon. I updated mine during my 3L year with an email to the Dean of Students. Student Affairs updated my file and provided the file along with the amendment to my state’s bar association along with my certification of graduation. I didn’t get any questions about it during the C&F process. Talk to your Dean of Students or someone in Student Affairs and they should be able to help you figure out how to amend.
