What's going on at Orrick?
Anon because I bid on Orrick for OCI and don't want to risk anything.
Orrick cut the number of OCI spots in half at my school (CA) compared to the past several years. But I also heard about their very generous bonus package. Is Orrick (or their SF office) just trying to downsize?

i think you might be trying to read a little too deep into the tea leaves here. maybe the recruiting person bought more slots at a different school instead of yours

I wouldn't write the question off so quickly. But it certainly depends on what school OP attends. If it's a T14 or large CA school, the fewer number of spots is worth scrutinizing.Definitely Not North wrote: ↑Fri Jan 08, 2021 12:23 pmi think you might be trying to read a little too deep into the tea leaves here. maybe the recruiting person bought more slots at a different school instead of yours

You only have to read the news to see who took austerity measures this past year and whether they have reversed it to figure out the puzzle.

Perhaps naively, this surprises me. Orrick seems well-positioned to benefit from the explosive growth of tech companies on the West Coast during the pandemic.
