Associate Referral Question

Post by Anonymous User » Wed Jan 06, 2021 8:03 pm

A friend of a friend asked me to submit their resume for an opening at my firm right before break and just got a callback. The friend of a friend told me afterwards that she submitted directly back in November before I submitted her.

Now I’m wondering if I should bring it up to recruiting now so that I don’t end up getting screwed with a potential referral bonus ($30k at my firm). I’m assuming they forgot the friend of a friend applied before I referred her resume, but I’m worried that if she gets the job, they will find her prior application and tell me I don’t get the referral.

Has anyone been in this situation? I’ve never had a successful referral, so I’m very unfamiliar with the process.

Sorry. That was a typo. I meant $20k.
