I've heard it's really difficult for US associates in Europe to lateral back to the US offices.
Is this also the case for in-house jobs? I'd like to work a few years in Europe and then eventually come back to the US, in particular, NYC (where I'm practicing now). How is the prospect of getting a job at financial institutions or in-house gigs at reputable companies after spending 4-6 years in Europe?
