Around what time did your latest CB call come in? Trying to figure out how late in the day I might expect a call from a firm...
Couple between 9 and 10pm, nothing past 10pm.

Does anyone think firms may be waiting for final transcripts if we're missing grades?

I am assuming that no callbacks go out during the day today, since we will all still be interviewing, right?

Callbacks go out almost always within 48 hours, when the interviewer has 1.) confirmed who they want to give them to and 2.) actually has time to call their people. (This is why there are a lot of calls after 8p / before 10a.) Definitely got next-day callbacks during other OCI interviews my year. It doesn't matter, you don't need to pick up.

Should we assume firms that moved last night are done making CB calls?
No -- as demonstrated by Latham NY going out last night and this morning. It goes out by interviewer, not firm. General rule is people take up to 48 hours to give CBs. It's just silence if they reject you though. Best way to do it is to assume nothing until 1.) your interviewer has called others or 2.) it's been > 48 hours.

This is NY though. No idea on other markets.

Talk to Dean Ricardo, waiting on a grade at this point is malpractice.

Rejected by Selendy and Jones Day, perhaps an hour ago, and was so rattled that I referred to Sidley as "Sidney" in my just-concluded interview, so scratch that one as well.

How are rejections and callback invitations extended?
For example, are rejections always by email and callbacks are always a phone call from the interviewer?

That's what I expected but it appears that some of yesterday's CBs are going out in the middle of today

No idea--I thought the interview went well (and I am not just saying that). I would have taken an offer there, too.

hope it's not a sign that it's going to be a tough year with firms hiring very conservatively.
