Lateral as a stub?
Is it possible to lateral as a stub if you know the firm is looking for juniors? If so, do you just submit your application online?

What a useless post above.
At least give a because. Yes, because. No, because.
It is possible, but it's unlikely because most firms looking for juniors specify that they want juniors with at least 1 or 2 years (not months) of experience. You apply however they say.

Re: Lateral as a stub?
Anything is possible. But by the time you apply, go through interviews and conflicts, you probably won't be in your stub year any more
I've seen folks lateral within 6 months of starting, usually because they have a solid reason for leaving (firm made them a tax lawyer when they wanted to be a litigator, moving for a partner's job, etc.) AND the new firm had under hired so they needed someone brand new with limited experience sooner than their next crop of first years. I think folks could give you better advice with a few more details - are you trying to change practice areas? do you just want to go to a better firm? is there a reason why you want to go to the new firm? Nothing identifying, but something would be helpful.
