Accelerated Partner Track Firms
Is there any information out there regarding which firms have only normal partner tracks, which have accelerated partner tracks, what those look like, snd that sort of information? Anecdotal information also appreciated. This comes purely from a place of curiosity.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Cravath for sure, but they say that even with the shorter track, you end up working more hours over the years prior to partnership than you would at a normal partner track firm.

What does that look like, hours wise? Is it dependent on practice group? Thanks for contributing!

Weil, theoretically, but they promoted exactly one rising seventh year to partner last year so it seems that the seven year path they’ve been pumping in the media is actually seven plus three years as counsel - basically, Kirkland but without the partner title.

Former associate of Knobbe Martens.
They make partners after 6 years. Good chance of partnership if you are a 6th year (over 50%).
Lower associate pay is the tradeoff.

Re: Accelerated Partner Track Firms
Anyone know what Partner tracks and compensation looks like at Littler, Jackson Lewis, Lewis Brisbois, Fischer, or Fox?
Also, general question about Partnership. What are the base salaries of an partner generally versus at the top tier firms?

I have some knowledge of littler. Close family member works there. I think it’s like 8 years or so to level a shareholder. There are for levels ending in level D.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Tue Nov 10, 2020 6:47 pmAnyone know what Partner tracks and compensation looks like at Littler, Jackson Lewis, Lewis Brisbois, Fischer, or Fox?

Comps not that great for level A, think a third year associate at a market firm. For the big equities, they get to keep a large part of their book from what I heard.
Probably easier to build a book there than other places. A lot of companies need a firm to do single plaintiff employment cases at good rates. The boutiques can undercut the biglaw firms on price while still maintaining quality.
