California's Diversity Mandate

Post by tlsadmin3 » Thu Oct 01, 2020 12:38 pm

Where is your company or law firm based out of? Is your company based in California? If so, California’s Diversity Mandate is going to apply to you. California just enacted the first diversity mandate in the nation for public companies. If your company is a public California based company, it must comply with the new diversity mandate by filling some board seats with underrepresented-minorities (URM) by the end of 2021. Do you think that it is fair for a state to tell you who you can and can’t have on the board of your company?
