A recruiting specialist at a firm down the street contacted me almost two weeks ago. She said the firm she works for had an opening and asked if I would be interested in applying. I said I’d be open to exploring and sent my resume.
How long should I wait to follow-up? I know I shouldn’t expect a response if the firm passed, but I think it’s kind of rude to ignore someone you specifically reached out to...

Sorry I think I misread your original post, in my experience, internal recruiters are usually better at getting back to you than the external search firms, but I still wouldn't take it as a reflection on you if the internal recruiter doesn't respond to your follow up email right away or at all.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Tue Sep 29, 2020 2:00 pmOP herelaemco2000 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 29, 2020 12:57 pmRecruiters ghost candidates they reach out to all the time, I would send a follow up email, but if you don't get a response, I wouldn't take it personally...
