Digital Nomad During Pandemic?
With parts of Mexico in similar time zones, Hawaii within the country, and places like Aruba and Bermuda offering visas for those wishing to work remotely from the beach during COVID - has anyone in Big Law taken them up? My DC firm will not be returning to the office until February 2021 and I'm seriously considering working from Mexico (no visa required). Would love to hear about anyone's experience with temporarily moving relocating during the pandemic from the Big Law lense. How was your decision viewed by the firm, were your billables affected by the move, any cautionary tales or considerations?

Re: Digital Nomad During Pandemic?
I've done something like this for a couple months, but didn't apply for a visa or anything. I didn't let anyone at the firm know, so they had no response, although I'd imagine they wouldn't have been a fan. It didn't have an effect on my billables. There was a slight time zone difference for me, which helped me out (I am a late riser and a night owl), and the temporary move allowed me to start my day later.
