I went in-house straight out of law school and i've been here for about 2 years now. The work is getting stagnant and I want to go to a firm. One of the firms we use for outside counsel has an opening in the practice group im interested in joining and i'm wondering if this is something i should pursue?
Any thoughts?

It's up to you and may very much depend on the firm, practice group, hours/salary, etc. Note that if you apply to a firm that you use as outside counsel, there could be future ethics considerations if they decline to hire you. That’s how I went to a firm from in house. If you’re friendly with someone on the team there, I would ask if you can chat with them about moving to a firm. They’ll get the idea. If they refer you, you have a much better chance than if you cold apply.
