I worked across from them in 2017 in a proxy fight. (Our client won--theirs lost.) Their partner kept filing typo-ridden things with the SEC. It was a bad look. They also were wrong on the law more than once. Activist work is specialized, and they weren't great at it.
Other than that, they're just a smaller NY firm that does some general corporate/securities work as well as a smattering of other practices. If you have an interview, go with an open mind. If you're cold emailing, well, I am not sure how often they hire people without experience.
