Stanford Moving OCI to November
It looks like Stanford is moving their OCI to late November. Do people think this will cause other schools to move theirs up? I know my school has ours at some point in January, and I doubt people are happy with Stanford doing this. If OCI isn't moved up, will we see a large number of students getting really aggressive with pre-OCI?

SLS is doing OCI in early December - not yet decided whether virtual or in person. Couldn’t make January work because of quarter system. Will have January 8 offer kick-off date. Shouldn’t cause other schools to accelerate, but we’ll see

This makes a lot more sense than what OP said. Agree that this doesn't seem like a big deal, and even if they were trying to jump the gun Stanford's so small and special (its grads get whatever west-coast jobs they want anyway) that it wouldn't cause a huge disruption.

This does make more sense. Thanks for chipping in. I am glad to hear that there is a Jan 8 kickoff date for offers. Although, I still wonder if we will see a lot of pre-OCI movement, regardless of exactly when schools set up OCI.The Lsat Airbender wrote: ↑Fri Jun 26, 2020 10:28 amThis makes a lot more sense than what OP said. Re: Stanford Moving OCI to November
Neither the schools (for pandemic reasons) nor the firms (for grade and economic reasons) are particularly interested in moving up their OCIs. I don’t think there will be any pressure to do so out of a fear of getting left behind by earlier ones.
