State of the Houston legal market

Post by sophocles » Thu May 28, 2020 3:44 pm

I keep seeing article after article about how this is the "big one" for domestic energy—which obviously has implications for the Houston (and Texas) economy. What is the market like right now for current Houston practitioners? Also interested to hear people's thoughts (or speculations) regarding the long-term effect on the Houston legal market.

Not necessarily an answer to your question, but per friends at V&E, that firm seems to be keeping up with the Jones in terms of associate pay and their summer program.

By "keeping up with the joneses," do you mean they are in fact keeping up with the major players, or that they are spreading themselves unrealistically thin financially?
