I've had some interest as a former journalist in pursuing first amendment law as a practice area, ideally representing news organizations (which are often units of larger entertainment companies). What kind of experience should I look to get in my early career if I want to make this a reality?
In terms of current credentials, recent graduate with a district court clerkship and offer to return to a V10 litigation department.

Any advice for a 3L with no big law lined up? I'm at a T-25 school.

Re: Entertainment Lawyer taking Q’s
TBH, in this market, I would focus on landing a job in general. Entertainment law jobs are hard to land in the best of times. The entertainment industry has been one of the hardest hit sectors by COVID. I would be very, very surprised if any entertainment law positions open for a while.jellypeanut wrote: ↑Fri Sep 04, 2020 11:24 amAny advice for a 3L with no big law lined up? I'm at a T-25 school.

Reviving this thread. Can anyone speak to the culture, QoL, and people at Loeb & Loeb's LA office?

Also curious to know if anyone has any experience with Greenberg Traurig's entertainment practice, specifically in LA.
