Morgan Lewis Lateral
Does anyone know what their lateral process looks like? I know they don’t use recruiters for most of their positions. How long from submit to screener/callback, usually, if applying directly? My friend who lateraled there said two weeks to get back, but that seems awfully long.
Also, how is the NY office’s lateral integration process?

Re: Morgan Lewis Lateral
I can't speak to NY specifically as I was in a different office, but I generally found the firm to be fairly cheap, although generally well-run in terms of things like promoting women and they are also very financially conservative (hence being cheap). There is definitely a focus on increasing their PPP because they think that is the biggest metric holding them back from competing at the next level of firms in whatever ranking you want to look at, and the only way you can assuredly increase your PPP is by cutting expenses, since you can't always just go get more work.

Thanks for the info. What do you mean by cheap? I’ve heard people say this about Morgan Lewis before but I don’t exactly know what that means. I got my offer a few days ago.

Additionally, would anyone know the general turn-around time after a CB?

My process was slow the last time I applied. It was 3-4 weeks last time. This time was faster. I had my CB around the 21 and got my offer yesterday. I didn’t use a recruiter this time around though.

Interviewed at NYC. Got an offer an hour after my CB interview.
