Christmas gifts to mentors

I read threads about cash to assistants/secretaries. What about your partner mentor/associate mentor? What do people do? What are appropriate amounts to spend on gifts? FWIW I'm a stub year.

Within a firm, gifts aren't really gifts - they're compensation in disguise. So they flow down, not up. If an associate mentor was really great to you maybe buy them a drink next time you're out. That's it.
