I just gotta say my secretary (recently lateraled in the past year) is an all-star and idk if legal secretaries spend much time, if any, on TLS, but shout out to all of you for saving my a** on more than one occasion.
What would be a good gift/token of appreciation for someone who's going above and beyond now that it's holiday season? Just more cash than usual?

Yeah, $$$, with maybe a short note. You want to make it clear that you are compensating this person for the value they add to your practice and not asking or offering a personal favor, which would be gauche by 20th-century standards and creepy by 21st-century standards.
Put 1-3 crisp Benjamins in a letter envelope and write "Thanks for all the hard work in 2019! - TigerIsBack" on the front.
