Hey all, 3rd/4th year corporate associate in LA looking to move in-house. Anyone have a recommendation for an in-house focused recruiter based in LA? Thanks!

Especially for in-house, I wouldn't rely on a recruiter. Network, network, network. I've been specifically prohibited from hiring recruiter-referred candidates in the past because the company didn't want to pay the fee.Anonymous User wrote:Hey all, 3rd/4th year corporate associate in LA looking to move in-house. Re: Recruiter recommendation (LA)
I generally agree, but there are some companies (especially small-mid size public companies) that use recruiters as the gatekeepers and having a good relationship with a recruiter can make a difference. I know several people that got in-house gigs through recruiters. It is hard to know who those recruiters are, but part of the networking process, ask in-house folks if they use recruiters and get in touch with those people.nealric wrote:Especially for in-house, I wouldn't rely on a recruiter. To be clear- I wasn't saying one should never use a recruiter in any circumstances- just that a recruiter shouldn't necessarily be your first call.trebekismyhero wrote:I generally agree, but there are some companies (especially small-mid size public companies) that use recruiters as the gatekeepers and having a good relationship with a recruiter can make a difference.
