What are my chances with this interview? (In b4 "just do your best and see what happens")
So, I am in the NYC market, and I got an informal drink with a senior associate, then a junior associate, and then they said they want to bring me in for an interview (full Callback).
What advice would you have? Is it any different than an OCI callback? Would you think it's less of a "maybe" because it is past peak hiring season (they don't have any open positions online)? Thoughts?

Somewhere in the 110-125% range.

UnfrozenCaveman was clearly just joking and the percentages mean nothing.
Callback format is likely to be like any other callback. Clearly you have a chance to get the job, otherwise they wouldn't be wasting time/resources interviewing you. Maybe they'll be a bit wary and really try to dig into your personality and resume, since as you said it's past the regular hiring season and they want to figure out why you presumably don't have an offer already. Seriously, you should "just do your best and see what happens". Try to prevent the neuroticism/anxiety that I'm sensing in this thread from bleeding into your interview because people will smell that from a mile away (I know, easier said than done). Be friendly, charismatic, positive, and intelligent; basically someone they want to work with and would feel lucky about hiring. Good luck.

They wouldn't be wasting everybody's time at this point unless they genuinely thought you might get hired.
It'll be different from OCI in that your interviewer will be taking time out of their workday rather than seeing student #12 out of 30. Good and bad sides to that.

Maybe good in that they're able to dedicate more focus to you in particular, they'll have more energy and brain power to try to develop a good connection with you rather than seeing you as one more cookie cutter law student they're interviewing that day.Anonymous User wrote:Good and bad how?The Lsat Airbender wrote:They wouldn't be wasting everybody's time at this point unless they genuinely thought you might get hired.

Maybe bad in that precisely because of that focus, they may be able to hone in on weaknesses in your application they may otherwise have glazed over a little if you were interviewee #12/30, maybe they'll be more searching in their questions, and perhaps expectation may be subconsciously a little higher for someone brought in outside OCI season?
