DLA Piper culture: as bad as in recent media coverage?
What is going on at DLA Piper? Any insiders, former insiders or people with knowledge that can shine a light on the recent sexual harassment allegations and fallout and if that is a firm-wide issue?

I have no idea about the culture, but the article you linked is about an isolated incident and doesn’t suggest a systemic problem or a “culture” at DLA piper, unless I’m missing something. Moreover, it is literally a he said / she said (although the authors at ATL clearly have made up their minds).

I don’t think that the event itself is telling. Sexual harassment is pandemic. It’s how it’s handled by the firm. Like Jones Day should be telling. They just attack attack attack...

I lateraled to DLA and as far as I can tell there is no culture. Probably as a result of its history, but it seems wildly different office to office.

I don't work at DLA, but at another megafirm with 2000+ lawyers. I cosign above. Big firms never have a unified culture but it doesn't surprise me this happens.

Yeah, DLA is a conglomeration of a lot of different firms and a lot of different offices. The culture is likely to vary widely between offices and even departments within offices. You'd have to evaluate each on an individual basis.Anonymous User wrote:I lateraled to DLA and as far as I can tell there is no culture. I’m a DLA employee - can confirm that office culture varies office by office, country by country. In general, however, it’s a very aggressive firm. People are super motivated to do their job well.

not worked there, but heard that their office in HK has some very horrible teams that no one wants to work for.
