OCI failed what can I do?

Post by Anonymous User » Sat Sep 14, 2019 9:04 pm

top30 law school, above median grade, science degree, non-US citizen.
applied for IP positions in big law firms, didn't get any call back interview through mass email + OCI.

I see people who do IP in my school got summer positions at law firms with similar grades, and I feel that my non-us citizenship is holding me back...:/

what can I do now?

I believe big law firms finished selecting their 2020 summer associates. I am not sure if small law firms are interested in selecting non-US citizens, whom they would have to sponsor visa eventually...

Im also looking into internships at governmental bodies (FDA, USPTO)

I hope to eventually work at biglaw (hopefully though 3L OCI...)

please advise ! thank you :)
