Chicago Biglaw SA Timeline?

Post by Anonymous User » Sun Aug 11, 2019 2:36 pm

Hi y'all,

For those who have participated in Chicago callbacks for SA positions, what is the general timeline for offers? Are Chicago biglaw firms as quick as, say, NY?

Thanks!

For what it's worth, I only had one Chicago callback interview and was offered a summer position at the end of the day.
A firm that I will be interviewing with in a few days told me that it could take up to 2 weeks to hear back from them.
So I guess it really depends.

Depends on the firm. I went through the process several years ago and got 2 offers, one next day and one next week. Most of the major players move pretty frequently so if you don't get an offer within the week, it doesn't mean you won't get an offer, but probably will have to wait for the first set of ppl given offers to accept or decline.
