The good news is your SA is (likely) almost over, and then hopefully you'll have some time to relax and reset before 3L. And you genuinely never have to go back to this firm again.

From everything you've said, it really seems like the firm is just such a toxic environment that there's no way for you to get a good feel of whether or not this is a job you enjoy. I think, if you have other plausible options for post-grad employment, you should look into those and hopefully, there you'll be able to get a better sense of what, if any, legal job you will really enjoy.

The money seems to be a really big factor, so is 3L OCI or big law recruiting an option at all for you? If it's not, do you have an idea of what practice area you're interested in? Sit down and think about if there is anything you have enjoyed about your work this summer. If you've been doing litigation work, and you enjoy researching and writing, but just feel a little lost due to the amount being thrown at you, that's a good sign. If you've hated all of it, maybe talk to some attorneys who do transactional work and think about if that would possibly be a better fit.

You could also look into clerkships, fellowships, anything else to do after you graduate. Talk to your career services office and be candid about your experience, and hopefully they can steer you in the right direction. You do not need to go back to this firm that has made you miserable. If you don't like the people you work with and the environment, try to try somewhere else. I think the work is going to be tough no matter what, and there's a steep learning curve, but no job is worth this impact on your mental health.
