Asking to use writing sample from 1L firm I may want to go back to
At a firm for 1L summer that I love and may want to go back to. But want to do OCI and I expect they may expect for a writing sample from my summer. How should I go about asking permission for this from my current employer? Or should I just use a legal memo from 1L and forget using real work product as my writing sample given that it adds fairly little (in my opinion) compared to what I could lose in goodwill from my current firm
