If mass mailing do you also apply on the website?
Let's say you are mass mailing and emailing the HR of the firm. Should you also be applying through their online application as well?

No. Follow the firm's directions re: whether they want you to email your application or apply through their web portal. In addition, if you have a connection (partner or associate) at the firm, mention your application to that connection.

Well hold on—at biglaw spots, if you literally know a partner or associate (or at some firms, I think, even another staff member), you should absolutely get those people to initially pass your thing through. This might then generate a direct email asking you to submit. In my experience, If you do it any other way, you risk not getting your connection $, not to mention that you might end up in some black box portal reviewed for keywords only by non lawyers.QContinuum wrote:No. Follow the firm's directions re: whether they want you to email your application or apply through their web portal.
