Reading tea leaves here, but is a one day turnaround typical for DPW? I know one associate from a few years ago that got an offer 3 days after the callback, but perhaps their system is more efficient now...
It depends on what group you're trying to go into, how often the hiring committee meets, how desirable you are as a candidate, etc. Next-day offers aren't uncommon, though.
DPW has done next-day offers since at least 2014. There may be occasions when an offer comes two or three days later - for example if you applied to a niche group and the interviewers are seeking buy-in from a specific person, but this is uncommon. If you did not hear back within 48 hours of your callback (or if you interviewed Friday, by Tuesday evening), you’re probably out of luck.
Other firms are more variable in their offer practices, especially smaller firms.

Anyone hear from a STB callback early this week? Was told it would be a week but that's obviously a standard ambiguous response.

Does anyone know protocol on bringing a lady friend up your hotel room if you're in a callback in another city?
Nothing weird or anything, just a friend. Stricly platonic. I don't want the firm to think something is up though.

Did they fly you to London? That's pretty cool.

I don’t think it would be a problem, plus if the firm was somehow monitoring who is going to and from your hotel room during a call back it may not be a place you would want to end up anyways.

Not at Columbia. Interviewed last Thursday, from the other threads Skadden seems pretty quick to give offers, if I don’t hear by next Monday/Tuesday I can fairly conclude it’s a ding. It was my first choice

Probably a simple question, but what is a Second Look exactly? I’ve been given an offer and told I can schedule a time to meet with additional attorneys if I want. Is that a Second Look, or is a Second Look a more official occasion I’ll be specifically invited to attend?

The former—a common noun. You’ve been offered the opportunity to take a second look at the firm. The firm may ask if you have any particular lawyers you’d like to meet, or they may just have you meet with several lawyers they think will help them seal the deal.
