It’s still early, but think about getting proactive and mass mailing. Also try to get interviews in NY offices with big classes, like through the hospitality room. Hustle now, because this is the easiest window for you.Anonymous User wrote:No CB at all. Ready to die...

Re: HLS EIP 2019
To the person who doesn’t have callbacks yet: Talk to OCS sooner rather than later.
It’s at least whispered that, every year, OCS quietly tries to match students who “struck out” with firms that didn’t fill their classes (or want to get more HLS students). This process is unpredictable for both students and firms, and some firms will end up with fewer students accepting callbacks or offers than the firms anticipated. And a few of those firms may work with OCS to interview students they didn’t meet at EIP.
Time is of the essence here: Firms monitor callback acceptance rates and other metrics closely to get as close to their target number of summer associates as they can. It’s a lot easier to get your foot in the door now, when they’re actively looking.
Good luck.

Go to the hospitality suite, tell the recruiting coordinator you’d love to interview there but scheduling didn’t work out, and is there any way they can fit you in during an open slot or before 9 / after 5. 9/10 times they’ll say yes

I also want to know if Debevoise has offered any callbacks. My interviewer made it sound like s/he expected to offer me one.Benzmeister wrote:Any CB from Sidley, Gibson, Proskuaer or Debevoise?

Would it make sense that firms are waiting until Monday morning? Like are the interviewers off for the weekend (in big law?).
Waiting on Skadden and Arnold Porter (both NY).

Re: HLS EIP 2019
I know Akin started doing callbacks for one interviewer but what about those who interviewed with DQ?
Squire Patton Boggs?
Perkins Coie?
Also, what should I make of interviews where they already sent out both rejections and callbacks but nothing to me?

Re: HLS EIP 2019
Anyone feel like this year is tougher on callbacks overall? I heard that many firms are bracing for another recession and hiring less. I definitely feel a bit misled by OCS about the whole "the only 'H' that matters is in 'Harvard' on your transcripts," since my callback count seems to disagree.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
