State Government Legal Jobs in Central FL

Post by GiveMeLiberty » Wed Apr 10, 2019 9:57 am

Hi TLS friends,

My wife and I are from Lakeland FL (in between Tampa and Orlando) and are considering moving back there after being in DC for law school and the start of my career. I plan on working at a firm for several more years, but at some point would potentially like to work for a state government, such as in an Solicitor General's office, for the Attorney General, General Counsel to the governor, the state equivalent to the White House OLC, legislative counsel positions, etc. I know there would be plenty of these types of opportunities in Tallahassee, being the capital, but does anyone know if there are similar opportunities in the state government in the central Florida area, particularly along I-4 (Tampa, Orlando, etc.)? The AG has an office in Tampa, and I'm wondering if other departments have offices in Tampa or Orlando as well.

Thank you
