Associates are cool - down to earth, smart, fun. Partners are known for being very intense. 3 major ones run the show, all who generally are nice, but with sharp tempers who can be insulting - so I’ve heard from the associates. Partners Will work long hours on a deal with you for months and when it’s over, won’t even look at you in the hallways. Can be a temperamental environment since it’s so close knit
It basically is it’s own small firm within a big firm. For that reason, stress is high and you inevitably work with the same people often. Got the sense that it’s a highly specialized group that has beef with general corporate group because it fees undervalued.
Hours range - nothing below 2,000 but have confirmed as high as 2,900 the past year.

Source: I summered in the group.
