Am I the only one without a summer position yet?

I don't attend a top law school and I didn't get anything from OCI. Am I completely screwed for not having a position for the summer at this point? I'm literally having daily panic attacks as I try to figure out what I'm going to do. I'm terrified.

Yup, you're the only law student in the country without a summer job. Should probably think about making sandwiches instead. /s

Sorry for the snark, no of course not. There's a big gap between OCI jobs and everything else. Most employers don't know their needs or capacity until it's closer to the summer. From this point through end of April you'll start seeing more openings pop up. Keep applying.

TLS is, perhaps expectedly given what the letters "TLS" stand for, hugely, disproportionately skewed toward T13/T20 students gunning for BigLaw and federal clerkships. The vast majority of 2Ls in the country are not at the T13/T20 and will not have secured a BigLaw offer at 2L OCI last fall. Not having a position lined up in March is par for the course and nothing to panic about. Certainly don't rest on your laurels, but there is zero need to panic at this point.

Have you been doing any term-time internships? Externships? Clinics? Volunteering? Networking is key to getting a job (both for the summer and after graduation). Don't rely solely on online applications (do those too, of course, just don't rely solely on that route).
