Law Firm Counsel and Partner Compensation
TLS has a lot of attorneys working in all different areas on the law. I am sure that there are a number of non-equity and young counsel who visit the site. While associate compensation is largely transparent, there's very little data on what counsel and non-equity partners are paid at various firms. In order to try to bring some transparency to this black box, if you are a counsel or non-equity partner, can you please anonymously post the firm, your salary, and how long you have been a counsel or partner. If you believe that giving this information will "out" you, please provide a reasonably narrow vault range (not that vault is the best ranking, but its easy to use) and a reasonably narrow compensation range.

Yeah, nobody is going to post this information. Like someone is going to be like "I'm a 5th year non-equity Partner at Winston & Strawn that makes $XYZ,ABC in salary and got a bonus of $DFS,BCS." At that point, the poster might as well post their name. I wouldn't even post a "narrow vault range." The most specific I'd go is V50 or V100.

I don’t think a narrow range would put anyone. if people choose not to share, they choose not to share. The only data points I’ve been able to get are financial disclosures from judicial nominees and administration hires. Seems like the range of non equity compensation (at least at a place like Kirkland) varies just as much as you’d expect equity. But agree with you, it’s tough for people to post this info.
