Should I consider ghosting a rejection or follow up?

Post by Anonymous User » Mon Nov 26, 2018 4:52 pm

I interviewed with v10 firm on October 31 and was told I should hear back in a week. I received an offer elsewhere and contacted the V10 firm on Nov. 16. I realize that last week was a holiday, but I expected to receive at least an acknowledgment of my email (i.e. Thanks for the update, I will check your status and get back to you). I heard nothing. Should I consider this a ding or should I reach out again? I sent my update to the recruiter...should I reach out to a partner I interviewed with instead?

Wait until tomorrow and then follow up again with the recruiting contact by email. If you don't hear back by the end of the week, then give the recruiting contact a call. If you would accept an offer from the V10 over the one you currently have, be sure to make that clear in your correspondence. Do not contact the partner.
