Culture at Simpson Thacher?
I'll be joining the firm soon and I was wondering if someone could tell me more about the culture and work/life balance at Simpson and what to expect. I'm especially interested in the funds group.

Lot of work for demanding clients. Funds groups has been probably the most consistently busy group at STB.

This is true that the clients are the clients, and they are demanding. You will find that in funds there is always a lot of work to do, but that the imminent time reqs and especially the facetime reqs are not as bad as other groups.Anonymous User wrote:Lot of work for demanding clients. But, you will get to see for yourself. There is nothing to talk you into or talk you out of here, you are quite reasonably nervous about joining a new firm. Enjoy the slow times (if they exist) as they get you up to speed, it is one of the best if not the best funds practice on the planet. Welcome!
